Founded by Emma Deterding in 2006, Kelling Designs has established itself as a vibrant, dynamic interior design studio known for its bold use of colour, pattern, and texture. Emma’s passion for interiors was sparked during her time working within the competitive London sales and rental property markets. It was here that she honed her understanding of what transforms a house into a home, developing a flair for decorating properties that are not only stylish but functional, welcoming, and full of personality. What began as a talent for enhancing rental properties quickly evolved into a thriving interior design studio, and thus, Kelling Designs was born.
Kelling Designs has since built a reputation for interiors that are characterful, uplifting, and entirely bespoke. The studio’s signature style is defined by its confident use of colour and texture, paired with revived antiques, artwork, and carefully selected pieces that tell a personal, meaningful story. The result is spaces that feel distinctive and layered — bold yet refined, playful yet considered.
